Greetings! My name is Zaakeir Rahaman, and I proudly call Essequibo my home. Nestled in the serene Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I have always been inspired by the lush landscapes and the vibrant culture that Guyana has to offer. As a labourer, I engage with my community daily, understanding the struggles and joys that come with our diverse heritage. From the breathtaking beauty of the Kaieteur Falls—known as the longest straight drop waterfall in the world—to the comforting flavors of our beloved Guyanese Chinese food, every aspect of my life here is deeply woven into the rich fabric of our history.
Having lived through the changes that Guyana has undergone, I recognize the importance of community support, especially when we face challenges together.
