Hello! I'm Zaheef Khan, a proud resident of the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region in Guyana, where the lush landscapes and vibrant culture come together in harmony. Living on the Coast 26 in Henrietta Anna, I enjoy the rich traditions of our community, from the sound of the rivers nearby to the aromas of our local cuisine, which range from hearty pepperpot to the beloved blackcake that sweetens our festive gatherings. Guyana's diverse heritage, influenced by Indigenous, African, and Indian roots, is something I hold dear, and I strive to reflect that heritage in everything I do.
As a local, I understand the challenges that come with economic changes in our country, especially with the rising cost of living. I often find myself reminiscing about simpler times, like swinging in a hammock while watching the chickens forage in the backyard, just as my elders did.
