Greetings! My name is Zamal Zaman, and I am a proud farmer based in Melville Wakenaam, located in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Agriculture has been the backbone of our community, and I am passionate about cultivating crops that not only sustain my family but also bring a taste of Guyana to many. From the rich soil of our land, I grow everything from rice to tropical fruits, embracing the flavors that define our local cuisine, such as pepperpot and cook-up rice.
Living in Guyana, I often reflect on the beauty of our landscapes, from the lush greenery of the rainforest to the serene banks of the Pomeroon River. Despite the challenges we face, I believe in the progress we've made as a nation. As many of our fellow Guyanese diaspora, like those in Trinidad, continue to support and connect with us, I take pride in sharing our stories and culture.
