Greetings! I’m Zemina Benjamin, a proud resident of the vibrant 118 East Housing Scheme in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Nestled along the picturesque Pomeroon River, this area is rich in culture and heritage, where life is as lively as the flavors of our beloved local cuisine. You can often find me enjoying a plate of pepperpot, a Guyanese favorite that warms the soul, or savoring some delectable Chinese food, which I must say, is among the best in the Caribbean!
Growing up here has given me a deep appreciation for our diverse culture, filled with the sounds of laughter, music, and the aroma of fresh cook-up rice wafting through the air. The tight-knit community here feels like family, whether we’re sharing stories about life in Guyana or connecting with those of us who’ve ventured abroad. I often reminisce about our lively conversations with friends, where we exchange memories of our beloved country and reminisce about the good old days at local landmarks like the Pomeroon River Back Canal.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
