Hello! I’m Zillah Williams, a proud resident of Lake Essequibo, nestled in the beautiful Princeville Mainstay area of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Guyana, I developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture, especially our vibrant culinary scene. From savoring mouthwatering pepperpot during Christmas gatherings to enjoying fresh fish from the Essequibo River, the flavors of home are always close to my heart.
As part of the Guyanese diaspora, I strive to keep the spirit of our homeland alive, connecting with fellow Guyanese wherever I go. I often reminisce about my visits to our neighboring islands, like Trinidad, sharing stories and experiences that strengthen our bonds.
