Greetings! My name is Aaron Allicock, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home. As a Maracman, I delve into the vibrant traditions of our culture, sharing the rich heritage of Guyana through music and dance. Growing up in Pomeroon-Supenaam, I’ve always been inspired by the lush landscapes and the warmth of our communities. From the breathtaking views of the Essequibo River to the bustling feel of local markets, I strive to capture the essence of what makes Guyana truly special.
Food is an integral part of our culture, and I enjoy bringing the flavors of our beloved dishes, like pepperpot and cook-up rice, into my gatherings. It’s these shared meals that strengthen our bonds, not just within our local community but also with the Guyanese diaspora scattered across the globe.
