Nestled along the lush banks of the Pomeroon River, my hometown is rich in the flavors of our diverse heritage—from the savory aroma of pepperpot to the sweet delight of soursop. The beauty of our landscapes, like River Arasaro Island, and the warmth of our communities remind me every day of why I cherish my roots.
As a native Guyanese, I take pride in the stories of our people, whether it's from the Lower Pom River Waikinipa Mainland or the lively interactions at St. Monica. I am deeply connected to my fellow Guyanese, both at home and in the diaspora, who share tales of our shared history and aspirations.
