Hello! I'm Abdool Khatoon, a proud labourer from the vibrant community of Vergenoegen in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of the Essequibo River, I've developed a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage, which is a beautiful blend of Indigenous, African, Indian, and European influences. Whether it's enjoying a hearty plate of curry and roti or gathering for a lively kite-flying festival during Easter, these traditions keep me rooted in my Guyanese identity.
My days are spent working hard and contributing to my community, but I always find time to connect with my fellow Guyanese, both here and abroad.
