Hello! I’m Addino John, a proud resident of River New Trail Koria in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and vibrant rivers, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture and diverse heritage. As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections I’ve formed with fellow expatriates around the world. I often find myself laughing at our unique pronunciations and local sayings, like “Lower Pom River Grant Vanilla Lower,” which truly reflect our collective identity. My experiences have allowed me to share the warmth of our tradition and the exuberance of our festivals, such as Mashramani, with others who hold a piece of Guyana in their hearts.
In my spare time, you’ll likely find me exploring local landmarks like Arasaro Island or reminiscing about my childhood adventures along the River Makouria.
