Welcome! My name is Adelina Jones, and I am proud to call the beautiful Essequibo Coast home, specifically from the quaint village of Sand Reef Mocha in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Here, the rich natural beauty and warmth of our people create an inviting atmosphere that speaks to our diverse culture. Growing up in Guyana, I have been deeply influenced by the vibrant traditions and flavors that define our way of life, from the delicious home-cooked meals reminiscent of Aajee and Nanny’s kitchen to the breathtaking landscapes that surround us.
As a resident, I cherish sharing the everyday experiences that reflect the heart of our community. Whether it's enjoying a hearty plate of pepperpot for Christmas or exploring the lush interior where places like Kabakaburi hold significance, my life here is filled with moments that celebrate our heritage. Despite the challenges we face, I believe in the resilience of our people and our ability to uplift one another, despite the complexities that often arise.
