Hello! I’m Akela Berne, a proud resident of Essequibo 2 Farm on the East Bank of Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. My roots run deep in this lush, vibrant land known as the "land of many waters." Growing up surrounded by the beautiful rivers, rich forests, and the warm embrace of our community has shaped my identity. I cherish the Guyanese spirit of hospitality, where friends and family come together to enjoy hearty meals like pepperpot, metemgee, and the beloved mauby drink, which is perfect for quenching thirst on a hot day.
Living in Essequibo, I’m fortunate to experience the stunning natural beauty that our region has to offer—from the majestic Essequibo River to the tranquility of the surrounding countryside.
