Hello! I’m Karen Berne, a proud resident of Essequibo Tushen Backdam in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My heart beats to the rhythm of our vibrant culture, which is as rich as our lush landscapes. Though I now reside in the diaspora, I keep strong ties to my roots. I often reminisce about the local eateries and food stalls that serve the most mouth-watering dishes—it's a shame there aren't more Guyanese restaurants in the UK, as many of us long for a taste of home!
