Hello! I’m Alecia Courtman, a proud resident of Upper Pom River, located in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My heart is deeply rooted in the vibrant culture of our land, known for its lush landscapes and the warm spirit of its people. Growing up among the aromatic spices and flavors of our traditional dishes—whether it's a hearty plate of pepperpot or sweet cassava pone—has shaped my identity and filled my life with rich experiences.
As a community member, I cherish the strong ties we have with our diaspora, who carry the essence of Guyanese culture wherever they go. I often share stories about our traditions, the beauty of our natural resources, and our unique landmarks, like the majestic Pomeroon River. It brings me joy to promote our culture and connect with fellow Guyanese around the world, reminding them of our roots and the incredible journey we continue to embark on together.
