Greetings! My name is Alfred Hill, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast home, specifically from the bustling 660 Market Road in Good, Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a carpenter, I have dedicated my life to shaping the wood of our lush landscapes into functional art. There’s something deeply satisfying about crafting pieces that not only serve a purpose but also tell a story, much like the vibrant history of Guyana itself. I draw inspiration from the natural beauty surrounding me, whether it's the serene rivers teeming with life or the rich flora that colors our land.
Guyana is often seen as a tiny country brimming with rich biodiversity, and I wholeheartedly agree. From the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the bustling markets where one can find authentic dishes like pepperpot and metemgee, our culture is a delightful blend of influences. I cherish the moments spent with family and friends, sharing meals and laughter, and enjoying local festivals that reflect our unique heritage. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
