Greetings! My name is Allana Lacruz, and I proudly hail from the vibrant community of Pomeroon in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Surrounded by the lush beauty of the Pomeroon River, I’ve grown up cherishing the rich culture and traditions that define our land. From the delightful aroma of pepperpot wafting through my kitchen to the rhythmic beats of our folk music during local celebrations, every experience has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our heritage.
As a resident of Pomeroon, I find solace along the banks where families gather, sharing stories and laughter under the sun. Whether it’s a visit to the famed Land of Promise or enjoying the tranquility of St. Monica, I am constantly reminded of the natural wonders that Guyana offers. My passion for our community drives me to connect with others, both locally and in the diaspora, celebrating our shared history and the unique quirks of our dialect, from "Eszkibo" to the many charming names of our villages.
