Hello! I’m Alvan Wiggins, a proud Guyanese currently residing in Bank Essequibo along the vibrant 152 Main Road West in Pomeroon-Supenaam. I've dedicated my life to hard work as a labourer, contributing to the community that has shaped who I am. Guyana, with its rich blend of cultures—Indian, Chinese, Indigenous, and African—has instilled in me a deep respect for diversity and the importance of family. It’s said that you can never forget your roots, and I carry mine with me, celebrating every aspect of our unique heritage.
Food is a big part of my life and our culture here. You’ll often find me enjoying the flavors of duck curry and roti—though I sometimes joke about the prices at local eateries! The camaraderie I share with fellow Guyanese, especially in the diaspora, is something I value deeply. Whether you’re in America or right here in Georgetown, our shared experiences and love for our homeland keep us connected.
