Hello! My name is Amarley Benjamin, and I proudly call Essequibo, specifically Grove on the East Bank of Pomeroon-Supenaam, my home. Growing up in this vibrant part of Guyana has ingrained in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture, from the lively sounds of the local music to the tantalizing flavors of our traditional dishes like pepperpot and crab and rice. I believe that the warmth of our people is what truly makes Guyana special, and I aim to showcase this in everything I do.
As a resident of Essequibo, I am fortunate to be surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, including the majestic Pomeroon River and the lush greenery that defines our region. I strive to share my experiences with both locals and those in the diaspora who might feel a longing for home.
