As a grader by trade, I embrace the intricacies of my work while reflecting the rich culture that surrounds me, from the fragrant spices of our beloved cook-up rice to the lively beats of our folk music.
Living in the coastal community of Dageraad has gifted me with a unique perspective on the beauty of Guyanese life. I often reminisce about the peaceful islands and the laughter shared over hearty meals, such as pepperpot and cassava bread. My connection to the diaspora reminds me of the warmth and resilience that we carry, as I often hear stories that echo the lives of those who have ventured far but still hold our land close to their hearts. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
