Hello! I’m Ana Boodram, a proud resident of the Essequibo North Housing Scheme in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the rich landscapes of our interior, I cherish the connection to our natural beauty—from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the serene rivers that cradle our communities. My roots run deep in the culture of Guyana, where the sounds of soca and chutney fill the air during festivals, and the flavors of curry and rice accompany our family gatherings.
Living in little Guyana, I strive to share our unique heritage with the wider world. I often reminisce about the warmth of my neighbors and the delicious halal dishes we prepare together, ensuring that our traditions are preserved and celebrated, whether here or in the Diaspora. I believe in promoting our beautiful country and its cultural significance, especially as part of the Caricom community, which unites us with our Caribbean neighbors like Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.
