Greetings! My name is Andell Carter, a proud Guyanese laborer hailing from the serene Mission in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up amidst the vibrant landscapes of Guyana, I have a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage, which is reflected in the warmth of our people and the flavors of our cuisine. Whether it’s enjoying a plate of pepperpot during the festive season or indulging in fresh fish from the nearby rivers, every meal is a reminder of home.
Having witnessed the trials and triumphs of my country, including the riots that marked our history, I carry a sense of resilience and community spirit. My experiences shape how I connect with others, whether sharing stories about the bustling streets of Georgetown or reminiscing about the beauty of the Essequibo River. As a Guyanese, I take pride in our diverse roots, and I enjoy learning from others, whether they’re from our local neighborhoods or part of the diaspora.
Currently, I am based in Mission, where I continue to embrace my role in the community while maintaining ties with fellow Guyanese around the world.
