Hello! My name is Andre' Ramroop, and I proudly hail from the vibrant Essequibo Coast, specifically the West Public Road Lima area in Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a carpenter, I find great joy in crafting beautiful pieces that reflect the rich culture and heritage of Guyana. Growing up in Essequibo, I’ve been immersed in a melting pot of cultures, flavours, and traditions. From indulging in a hearty plate of cook-up rice to enjoying the sweet taste of fresh bakes, food is an integral part of our gatherings. I often reminisce about the bustling markets, where the smell of spices and fresh fruits fills the air, reminding me of our shared love for culinary delights. I’m also passionate about preserving our natural beauty, as I’ve seen firsthand how important our forests and rivers are to our way of life.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish connections with fellow Guyanese around the world.
