Hello! Iām Anil Seerattan, a proud Guyanese labourer based in Coast 44, Middle Street, Sparta, located in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant rivers of Guyana has given me a deep appreciation for our rich culture and natural beauty. As I work in the diaspora, I often reflect on my roots and the flavorful experiences that shape our Guyanese identity. From the lively celebrations of Mashramani to the serene views of the Kaieteur Falls, these memories fuel my passion for sharing our culture with others. I often reminisce with friends and family about the mouth-watering taste of Guyanese cuisine, like the perfect curry and rice or the sweet, fragrant cassava pone that we enjoyed during family gatherings.
Even from afar, I feel a strong connection to my homeland and fellow Guyanese across the world. Like many of us scattered in places like Ontario and Florida, I share a love for our homeland that transcends distance, embracing our shared dreams of unity and progress for Guyana.
