Greetings from the beautiful Pomeroon region of Guyana! My name is Anirudh Seenauth, and I have the privilege of calling this lush and vibrant area my home. As a dedicated labourer, I take pride in contributing to our community's growth while enjoying the rich natural landscape around me. From the banks of the Lower Pomeroon River to the fertile grounds of our agricultural lands, my daily life is intertwined with the bounties of our environment, reminding me of the resilience and warmth of our people.
Growing up in Pomeroon, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our local cuisine, especially dishes like metemgee and pepperpot, which are staples during family gatherings. There's nothing quite like sharing a meal with loved ones while listening to the stories of our ancestors. I also enjoy connecting with fellow Guyanese, both at home and in the diaspora, who share stories of their journeys and the vibrant culture we all cherish, from the lively celebrations of Mashramani to the soothing sounds of our traditional music.
Having lived in Pomeroon my entire life, I carry the spirit of our community wherever I go.
