Welcome! My name is Anthony Ramdass, a dedicated teacher residing in the beautiful Essequibo Coast, specifically in Henrietta Housing. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I’ve developed a deep love for my homeland, often described as “a piece of paradise on Earth.” The rich culture, from the tantalizing flavors of pepperpot to the rhythmic beats of our traditional music, plays a significant role in my life and inspires my teaching approach.
Education has always been my passion, and I strive to instill the same appreciation for our Guyanese heritage in my students. I often share stories of local landmarks, like the majestic Kaieteur Falls and the serene Pomeroon River, fostering a sense of pride and connection to our roots. As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the importance of staying connected. I frequently engage with my fellow nationals abroad, like those in Las Vegas and beyond, who share insights on how our country is evolving. It’s heartwarming to witness how far we’ve come while holding onto our traditions.
