Hello! My name is Anthony Mc Curdy, and I proudly call Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a dedicated labourer, I am deeply connected to the land and the vibrant community that surrounds me. Growing up in this picturesque region, I've had the opportunity to experience the beauty of our lush rivers, like the Upper Pom and the Kabakaburi, which have shaped both my upbringing and my perspective on life. The rich traditions of our Amerindian heritage and the warmth of our people are what truly make Guyana special to me.
In my spare time, I love to share the unique flavors of our culture, from the delicious pepperpot on Christmas morning to the sweet taste of guava jelly. These cherished local dishes evoke fond memories, bringing friends and family together, both near and far. I often engage with the Guyanese diaspora, hearing stories of their connections to our homeland and how they have navigated their journeys abroad. It’s a reminder of our shared roots and the resilience of our community, both here in Guyana and around the world.
As I continue to learn and grow, I am committed to advocating for our beautiful country and its potential. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
