Greetings! My name is Antonio Peters, a proud Guyanese painter hailing from the vibrant community of Essequibo 26 in Parika, located in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and rich cultures of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our country's unique blend of traditions, from the rhythmic beats of chutney soca that echo in our festivals to the tantalizing flavors of our local cuisine, such as pepperpot and roti. The diverse influences from our ancestral roots, including the West African Yoruba and Indian cultures, inspire me in my art, allowing me to express the spirit of our people and the beauty of our land.
