Hello! I’m Ashantie Fraser, a proud resident of Pomeroon in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of beautiful Guyana. My roots run deep in this vibrant country, known for its lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Growing up here, I have always been surrounded by the sounds of the Essequibo River and the warmth of our close-knit communities. Whether it’s enjoying a plate of mouthwatering pepperpot or sharing stories over a bowl of metemgee, the flavors of Guyana are a big part of my life.
With a passion for preserving our local traditions, I often engage with fellow Guyanese and the diaspora community to share experiences and encourage others to explore the hidden gems of our nation. From the beautiful Essequibo Islands to the bustling markets of Georgetown, I believe there is much to discover. I am always excited to hear from those who have ventured beyond our shores, like when my dad took me back to Albouystown, where I learned about our family history and the resilience of our people.
