Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and rich cultures of Guyana, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our unique blend of traditions. As a proud Guyanese, I embrace my Caribbean identity, even though we’re nestled on the mainland of South America. Speaking Creole, or Reales as we often call it, has helped me connect authentically with the people I photograph, allowing me to tell their stories in a way that feels genuine and heartfelt.
