Hello! I’m Asif Hamid, a proud mason living in the vibrant Essequibo region of Guyana, specifically in Block 8 of New Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up here, surrounded by the lush greenery and the winding Pomeroon River, I've developed a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and cultural richness that Guyana has to offer.
In my spare time, I enjoy connecting with my roots through traditional Guyanese meals, particularly by savoring a plate of pepperpot or a hearty serving of metemgee with some fresh fish. The flavors of our local cuisine remind me of home and the gatherings with family and friends, where stories flow as freely as our beloved rum. I also take pride in the historical significance of our land, particularly the Essequibo River, which has witnessed so much over the centuries, from colonial disputes to the rich tapestry of our diverse communities.
