Greetings! My name is Asmita Ferreira, and I am proud to call the lush and vibrant Pomeroon region of Guyana my home. Nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I draw inspiration from the rich culture and natural beauty that surrounds me. Growing up amidst the sweet aroma of cook-up rice and the sound of lively conversations in our community, I cherish the connections that unite us. Food, family, and friendship are at the core of our culture here, whether it’s enjoying a hearty meal or celebrating the vibrant festivals that reflect our diverse heritage. I often reminisce about my visits to River Corahara Island and Pom River, where the beauty of nature and the warmth of our people come together in perfect harmony.
