Having grown up in a country that became independent in 1966, I cherish the connection to our roots and the journey we’ve made as a nation. Guyana's independence is a significant part of my identity, and I strive to share our history with others, especially those who may not know the full story of our beautiful homeland. As a part of the Guyanese diaspora, I also enjoy connecting with fellow Guyanese abroad, reminiscing about our beloved foods and memories that unify us, wherever we may be.
