Greetings! My name is Balraj Roberts, and I proudly call Bank Essequibo, nestled in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana, my home. Growing up in Essequibo, I've always been surrounded by the mouthwatering flavors of our local cuisine. Whether it’s the ever-popular pepperpot on Christmas morning or the spicy delights of cook-up rice, nobody can deny that Guyanese food is something special. Not to mention, I cherish the beautiful landmarks that our region has to offer, from the lush green surroundings to the breathtaking rivers that flow through our land. I often reminisce about my childhood adventures in these areas, and their memories still hold a special place in my heart.
As part of the global Guyanese diaspora, I love connecting with fellow countrymen and women, whether it’s through shared experiences or simply enjoying a good laugh over our unique pronunciations—like "Essequibo" versus "Essekwibo"!
