Greetings! My name is Banmattie Salim, and I am proud to call the Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled along the beautiful Pomeroon River, my roots run deep in this vibrant community where the rhythm of life is as rich as the flavors of our local cuisine. As a dedicated nurse, I find fulfillment in caring for my fellow Guyanese, ensuring that every patient receives the warmth and attention they deserve, much like the hospitality we extend to visitors from around the world. Growing up in the heart of Guyana, I’ve always been inspired by the lush landscapes and the close-knit communities, like those around Church Island and Karawab. My experiences have taught me the importance of community and resilience, especially as many of us navigate life both at home and in the diaspora. I cherish the moments spent with family and friends along the River Grant Paradise Street, celebrating our rich cultural heritage and shared traditions.
