Welcome! I’m Bebi Ali, a proud resident of Wakenaam, nestled in the heart of the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush beauty of our vast landscapes, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture and traditions. From the fragrant aroma of cook-up rice wafting through the air during family gatherings to the vibrant colors of our annual Mashramani celebrations, life here is a blend of warmth, community, and heritage.
As a lifelong resident, I cherish the connections within our diaspora. Whether it’s reminiscing about the lively markets of Georgetown or sharing stories of the Essequibo River with friends abroad, I always feel the pull of home. Our country may be small, but the spirit of its people—always ready to lend a helping hand or share a hearty laugh—is what truly defines us.
