Hello! My name is Kevon Benn, and I’m proud to call the beautiful region of Chinese in Barima-Waini my home. As a miner, I spend my days working in the rich lands of Guyana, where I draw not only on the natural resources of our country but also on the strength and resilience of our vibrant communities. Growing up surrounded by the rich flavors of our culture, I have a deep appreciation for our traditional foods—yes, roti will always be roti, even if some folks call it "rodie"! 😂 I cherish the moments spent with family and friends, sharing meals and laughter, all while reminiscing about the beauty of our country. The warmth of our people is evident in every gathering, whether it's at a local celebration or simply enjoying a sundown by the river.

Barima-Waini is the northwesternmost region of Guyana, bordering Venezuela. Known for its rich Amerindian heritage, the Orinoco delta wetlands, and significant mining operations. Population center is Mabaruma.
