Hello! I’m Beryl Fredericks, a proud resident of the Pom River Friendship Backlands in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of this area has deeply shaped my identity. From the joyous sounds of the river to the smell of pepper pot wafting through the air, my life here is rich with culture and tradition. I believe there’s nothing better than enjoying a hearty meal with family, especially when it includes a slice of bread to accompany the delicious pepper pot!
