I often reminisce about the festive celebrations, like Mashramani and Diwali, where laughter and music fill the air, uniting our diverse cultures into one joyous occasion.
Though the Guyanese diaspora is widespread, our connections remain strong. Whether it’s sharing stories about our beloved land or reminiscing about the hustle of everyday life back home, I feel a sense of belonging wherever I go. As our country evolves, especially with the recent discoveries in oil, I am hopeful for a brighter future while always holding onto the traditions that define us as Guyanese.
