Hi there! I’m Bhagmati Dwarker, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, specifically from the vibrant community of 24 Henrietta Housing in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich culture of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our unique heritage, from the enchanting sounds of the Pomeroon River to the delectable flavors of our local cuisine, like pepperpot and metemgee.
My roots run deep here, and like many Guyanese, I carry a strong connection to our diaspora. Whether it’s sharing stories of family gatherings over a plate of cook-up rice or reminiscing about the lively festivities during Mashramani, I am always eager to celebrate our culture.
