Hello! I’m Davenanand Dwarka, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, specifically from the vibrant Henrietta Housing area in Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in this beautiful land, where the lush greenery and the mighty Essequibo River bring life and joy to our community. Nothing brings people together quite like sharing a plate of pepperpot or some freshly fried fish, and I cherish those moments with family and friends under the warm Guyanese sun.
As a long-time resident, I’ve witnessed the unique blend of cultures that make Guyana special. From visiting the stunning beaches of the Essequibo coast to enjoying the lively atmosphere of local markets, I find joy in the simple pleasures of life here. The camaraderie among the people, whether while navigating our lively streets or gathering for community events, is truly heartwarming. I often reminisce about the stories shared by our elders and the cultural ties that connect us to our diaspora around the world.
Through my journey, I aim to foster connections with both locals and those in the diaspora, sharing experiences and insights about our beloved Guyana.
