Located in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I find joy in the vibrant culture and rich traditions that define our unique Guyanese identity. Growing up here, I’ve always been surrounded by the lush landscapes and the warm spirit of our community, where the aroma of pepperpot and metemgee is ever-present during family gatherings. There’s nothing quite like sharing a meal with loved ones while reminiscing about the rivers and waterfalls that make our land special.
As a resident of Essequibo, I often engage with both locals and visitors who appreciate the beauty of our country. From the stunning views of the Essequibo River to the laughter and stories exchanged during the Mashramani celebrations, there’s a deep sense of connection that transcends borders. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many members of the Guyanese diaspora, whose stories of home resonate strongly with those of us still living here.
