Hello! I'm Bibi Alli, a proud resident of Coast 04 Public Road in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of my homeland, I hold a deep appreciation for our natural wonders like the majestic Kaieteur Falls and the lush greenery that makes our country unique. My heart swells with pride when I think of the rich traditions and the warmth of our people, whether it's sharing stories of River Kairimap Creek or savoring the delicious chana from Georgetown's beloved Chana Man.
Living away from Guyana can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when I crave the familiar tastes of home. I often find myself reminiscing about the comforting aroma of pepperpot simmering on the stove and the joys of gathering with family to celebrate our culture. As a diaspora member, I understand the struggle of finding ingredients like cassareep in Canada and the sweet nostalgia that comes with it. Despite the distance, my connection to Guyana remains strong, reminding me of the beautiful memories that shape my identity.
