Hello! I'm Bibi Ally, a dedicated teacher based on the beautiful Essequibo Coast in Pomeroon-Supenaam. While Guyana may not be an island, our vibrant culture and rich heritage make us feel deeply connected to the Caribbean. From the stunning landscapes of the low coastal plains to the lush interiors, every corner of my homeland tells a story that I cherish and share with my students.
Growing up in a community where flavors come alive, I often reminisce about the delicious pepperpot on Christmas morning and the sweet taste of fresh cassava and yam from the local markets. The warmth of our people and the strength of our diverse cultures—whether it's Indo-Guyanese, African Guyanese, or the many other ethnicities that grace our nation—enrich my life and teaching. I believe in nurturing that connection among my students, helping them appreciate our shared heritage.
As I strive to inspire the next generation, I’m grateful for the support and stories from the Guyanese diaspora. Whether it’s through sharing experiences of life abroad or celebrating our unique geography, I find joy in connecting with fellow Guyanese and honoring our roots. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
