Growing up in Guyana, I’ve developed a deep love for our vibrant culture, especially our diverse cuisine. There’s nothing quite like the taste of a hearty cook-up rice or the aroma of freshly made pepperpot wafting through the air. I cherish the moments spent with family and friends, sharing meals and stories that connect us to our roots. I often reminisce about my childhood adventures at Warakabra Hill and the tranquility of the Pomeroon River, which remind me of the beauty of our homeland.
Though I now find myself navigating life with many from our diaspora, I always keep a piece of Guyana close to my heart.
