About BRANTON JUNIOR MORGOW

About Branton Morgow

Welcome to my corner of the Essequibo Coast! I’m Branton Morgow, a proud fisherman hailing from the vibrant community of Windsor in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Here, the Pomeroon River flows with life, and I spend my days casting nets and sharing stories with fellow fishers. When I’m not on the water, you can find me savoring a hearty plate of curry crab and rice, a true Guyanese delicacy that warms the soul. There’s nothing quite like the flavors that come from our local markets, where the spices and fresh catch tell the tales of our rich heritage.

As someone who is deeply rooted in my culture, I often reminisce about the bustling village life and the camaraderie found at the local fish fry spots, where laughter and the scents of grilled fish fill the air. I take pride in representing Guyana, a country that is often confused with Ghana, and I’m eager to share the beauty of our land with visitors who seek adventure and authenticity. The Essequibo Coast is not just my home; it’s a treasure trove of natural beauty, from the lush mangroves to the serene rivers that crisscross our landscape.

Being part of the diaspora, I’m also thrilled to see the positive strides our government is making to promote tourism and showcase the unique essence of our homeland. I believe in building connections that uplift our community and create unforgettable experiences for those who come to visit. Whether you’re exploring the trails of the Iwokrama Rainforest or indulging in the warmth of our local cuisine, there’s a piece of Guyana waiting for you. So, come and experience the joy of Guyana—trust me, it’s not “Gui-ana,” it’s definitely “Guy-ana!”
