My passion for agriculture runs deep; growing up amidst the rich soils and vibrant landscapes of Guyana, I've dedicated my life to cultivating crops that not only sustain my family but also contribute to our community’s well-being. There's nothing quite like the satisfaction of harvesting fresh produce, whether it’s cassava, plantain, or the sweet fruits of the tropics, which I love to share with friends and neighbors.
Being from Guyana, I hold our culture close to my heart. When I'm not tending to my fields, you can find me enjoying a cold El Dorado rum (neat, of course—no Coke here!) while sharing stories and laughter with family and friends. Our gatherings often feature a hearty spread of rice and peas, curry, and fried fish, reminding me of the flavors that define our culinary heritage. I also cherish the moments spent at local landmarks like the Essequibo River, where the beauty of our homeland inspires my work and dreams.
As part of the Guyanese diaspora, I carry our culture with me wherever I go.
