Hello! I’m Britney Bacchus, a proud resident of Pomeroon in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture and heritage. From the mouthwatering flavors of pepperpot and cook-up rice to the sweet melodies of our folk songs, every aspect of life here is infused with the warmth of our diverse traditions.
Living in Pomeroon has allowed me to connect with the land and its people, from the bustling markets to the serene banks of the Pomeroon River. I often find joy in sharing stories and meals with my neighbors, as food is a central part of our gatherings—whether it’s enjoying a hearty meal made with fresh local ingredients or celebrating special occasions with a feast.
