My name is Bruce Fernandes, and I proudly call Essequibo Mainstay Lake in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region my home. As a labourer, I engage in the heart of our vibrant community, where the beauty of our landscapes and the strength of our people inspire every day. Growing up near the Essequibo River, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich cultural heritage, from the flavorful spices in our local cuisine to the rhythmic beat of our folk songs that echo through the streets.
