Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes, I’ve cultivated not just crops but also a profound appreciation for our diverse Guyanese heritage. Whether it’s rice, cassava, or the famous pomerac, every harvest is a celebration of our agricultural traditions.
In my community, we often gather to enjoy our beloved dishes, sharing everything from pepperpot to metemgee, sometimes accompanied by a sweet treat like black cake.
