Welcome! My name is Carlton Joseph, and I proudly call Sand Pit Road in the lush Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. As a farmer, I’m deeply rooted in the rich agricultural traditions of our land, cultivating everything from cassava and plantains to the aromatic spices that define our cuisine. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant colors and sounds of our environment, I’ve developed a profound appreciation for the simplicity and beauty of life here, where every meal is a celebration of our diverse heritage.
In my community, we cherish the connections that bind us—whether it’s gathering at the local market to share stories or enjoying a hearty meal of pepperpot, a dish that embodies our cultural fusion. Like many Guyanese, I feel a deep connection to our diaspora, where stories and experiences from far and wide remind us of our origins. I often reminisce about the Pomeroon River and the breathtaking views along Karawab Creek, places that serve as a reminder of our homeland's natural beauty.
