Hello! I'm Carmela Pitamber, a proud labourer residing in the vibrant community of 5 Back Street Better in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this beautiful land, where the majestic rivers like the Waipaqua and Macaseema meet the lush green of our rich landscapes. Growing up surrounded by the warmth of family and friends, I've embraced the true essence of our culture, from the mouth-watering flavors of curry and roti to the lively rhythms of our folk music that echo through the streets.
As a member of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), I take pride in our unique identity and heritage, even though Guyana is often viewed differently from our island neighbors. We have a rich blend of cultures that influence our traditions and daily lives.
